POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Manager will oversee a team of IT Field Technicians while serving as the primary contact for clients within the designated region. This role involves close collaboration with clients to prioritize requests and efficiently manage task execution. There is ample opportunity for career advancement and professional growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Technical Execution:

  • Mentor IT Field Technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Work alongside Field Technicians in the field on a daily basis.
  • Manage and support technology-related projects, such as security camera installations and room upgrades.
  • Act as an escalation point for Field Technicians regarding end-user devices and data/application services support.
  • Provide updates to the Grid Services Team and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Grid Team for annual audits of accounts and groups.
  • Identify new client projects and collaborate with the Project Manager for execution.
  • Implement standardized solutions for technology projects in conjunction with Grid Services.
  • Ensure timely project completion and effective communication with clients and staff.
  • Conduct daily team calls and monthly operations meetings.

Client Focus:

Work closely with the executive team and stakeholders to develop a shared vision that aligns technology with district goals. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing action plans and maintaining communication to manage client expectations.
  • Assisting the Regional Director of Technology in planning and milestone creation.
  • Delivering services as outlined in client support contracts.
  • Communicating project milestones and updates to clients.
  • Managing client communications regarding outages and critical issues.
  • Maintaining accurate client inventory documentation.
  • Scheduling regular operations meetings with clients.
  • Collecting feedback on technician performance from clients.

Team Leadership:

Lead and support IT Field Technicians in decision-making and professional development. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring accurate time and data entry through weekly timesheet reviews.
  • Delegating daily tasks and scheduling technicians by location.
  • Managing project deadlines and communicating issues to the team and management.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to Field Technicians.
  • Conducting quarterly reviews and regular team meetings.

Required Qualifications:

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional school environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Physical demands include:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and use standard office equipment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with typical hours from Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. Flexible scheduling options are available.

Travel:

Daily travel within a 50-mile radius may be required, and personal vehicle use will be necessary.

Pay Rate:

Compensation ranges from $40,000 to $55,000.
