POSITION SUMMARY: The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and implementation of information security initiatives within Aligned Data Centers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of Aligned's technological infrastructure and information systems.
  • Lead the formulation and upkeep of Incident Response Plans and Cybersecurity protocols tailored for information technology.
  • Stay abreast of developments in the cybersecurity landscape, digital privacy laws, and relevant standards across various jurisdictions.
  • Identify and relay current and emerging security threats to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the architecture, design, construction, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level security systems in alignment with the Center for Internet Security (CIS) controls and associated standards.
  • Design security architecture components to address evolving threats proactively.
  • Anticipate the needs of stakeholders and engage in discussions regarding potential security and privacy solutions.
  • Supervise and evaluate security assessments, including program reviews, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis, providing actionable recommendations based on findings.
  • Devise solutions that harmonize business objectives with information and cybersecurity necessities.
  • Review and endorse security configurations and policies for firewalls, VPNs, routers, IDS technologies, servers, mobile devices, and other IT systems.
  • Ensure project integration and adapt project scope, timelines, and budgets as required by organizational needs.
  • Analyze system logs, security tools, and network traffic for anomalies, making recommendations to restore secure operations.
  • Evaluate and test new security software, tools, and technologies for operational applicability.
  • Conduct ongoing interviews and assessments with internal teams to understand employee interactions with technology and integrate cybersecurity measures effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with internal auditing, legal, and IT departments to ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Work alongside Senior Leadership to develop a comprehensive, strategic technology plan that aligns with overarching business goals and budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee the annual operating and capital budgets for all security platforms and hardware.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors in the information security and cybersecurity domains.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Equivalent experience or a degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in information security and cybersecurity management.
  • Hands-on experience in Red, Blue, and Purple INFOSEC roles and tasks.
  • Experience in deploying and managing cybersecurity, digital privacy, and information security solutions for remote access, identity management, and cloud services.
  • Proficient in leading ITIL V4 processes including incident, change, problem management, and root cause analysis.

  • CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • GSLC - GIAC Security Leadership
  • CISM - Certified Information Security Manager
  • CCSP - Certified Cloud Security Professional
