Job Title: Medical Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at MedPro Healthcare Staffing. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Long Term Acute Care setting.

Job Summary:

The Medical Support Specialist will work closely with our healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex medical needs. This includes monitoring and adjusting specialized equipment, interpreting telemetry readings, and providing care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide care for 5-6 patients per shift
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients
  • Interpret and understand telemetry readings, notifying appropriate medical team members of any irregularities
  • Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib
  • Use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information
  • Start IV's, draw blood, and provide comprehensive care to patients
Requirements:
  • Degree from an accredited nursing program
  • Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting
  • Other requirements to be determined by our client facility
