Chief Operations Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Program Operations Officer to join our Executive Team at Waystone Health and Human Services.
This key leadership role will be responsible for managing the Program Services team and leading key departments within the agency.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in business management, with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience at the senior level.
They will be responsible for ensuring the continued sustainability of program services, as well as the growth of existing services and the development of new services.
The Chief Program Operations Officer will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all licensing, certification, and accreditation processes.
Additionally, they will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with funding and referral sources, peer organizations, and other key community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise the Program Services Team and other management positions as assigned
- Ensure continued sustainability of program services and, where applicable, the growth of existing services and the development of new services
- Direct and ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and accreditation processes
- Direct and approve the preparation and modification of department budgets, ensuring positive financial performance
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with funding and referral sources, peer organizations, and other key community stakeholders
Requirements:
- A Masters Degree in Business, Public Health, or Human Services is strongly preferred
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Psychology, or a related field is required
- Minimum of 10-12 years of business management experience at the senior level across a range of business disciplines, preferably in human service delivery, working with individuals with disabilities, and other life challenges
- Strong business acumen and experience with operational processes; experience managing budgets
- Experience managing in a union environment is preferred
- Proficiency in related technology platforms
- The ability to think strategically, listen well, and communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
- Must have strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to build trust among a wide range of constituents
- Knowledge of state funding agency systems, policies, and regulations
- Valid Drivers License with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience
