Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phlebotomist II Site Lead to join our team at Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. As a Phlebotomist II Site Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of phlebotomists and ensuring the smooth operation of our Patient Service Centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner
  • Lead a team of phlebotomists and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Ensure that all laboratory tests are performed accurately and efficiently
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve patient satisfaction and laboratory efficiency
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow
Requirements
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Keyboard/data entry experience
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Lift light to moderately heavy objects
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Requires long hours of eye and hand coordination
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand frequently to constantly throughout the day
Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
  • Superior customer focus, ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients
Education and Certifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification (required in certain states, e.g. California, Nevada, Washington, and Louisiana)
