National Roofing is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resource Coordinator to join our team. Key Responsibilities
  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Support company-wide information meetings, such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs and recommend corrective action, including EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Implement new hire orientation and prepare new-employee files.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
  • Complete Forms I-9, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files.
  • Submit online investigation requests and assist with new-employee background checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manage internal and external job postings.
  • Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years' related experience required.
  • SHRM-CP credential preferred.
