Senior Business Office Coordinator

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Business Office Coordinator to join our team at SCA Health. In this role, you will provide critical support to our facility by performing various business office functions, including medical records, credentialing, admissions/intake, accounts payable, billing, collections, insurance verification, transaction posting, clinical logs, and other duties as assigned.
You will be responsible for scheduling surgeries in our computer system, handling calls from physician's offices, and ensuring that patient information is accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, you will perform various clerical tasks, such as photocopying forms, reports, and patient information, mailing surveys, preparing patient charts, faxing forms, and retrieving faxes as needed.
You will work closely with our surgical team to ensure that all scheduled cases are verified as soon as possible and that patients with financial responsibilities are contacted immediately and informed of our payment policies and options.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently as well as function within a team environment. You must have a basic knowledge of surgery scheduling, receptionist, and registration responsibilities and possess the ability to handle stress.

Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent preferred
- Minimum three years of experience in healthcare and minimum of one-year experience in surgery scheduling procedures preferred
- The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently as well as function within a team
- Have a basic knowledge of surgery scheduling, receptionist, and registration responsibilities; and must possess the ability to handle stress
