Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider

Job Summary
The Sentara Heart Hospital is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to our patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery, focusing on postoperative management and optimization of their physical and psychological well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative care to cardiothoracic surgery patients in the IMCU
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient management of patient care
- Participate in quality care initiatives and evaluate patient outcomes
- Contribute to the growth and development of our APP team
Requirements
- At least two years of advanced practice experience in an acute care setting
- Cardiothoracic surgery background preferred
- Critical care background preferred
