Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Clinical Nurse Specialist demonstrates advanced and specialized clinical knowledge and skills to facilitate the provision of patient/family-focused care to promote health and/or well-being improve quality of life; drive practice changes throughout the organization, and ensure use of evidence-based care to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical guidance and support to nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement evidence-based practice changes to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient-centered care.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform practice decisions.
- Develop and lead educational programs for nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Master's degree in nursing or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience with adult population required.
- RN license in Virginia or compact/multi-state eligible.
- Certified in specialty area deemed eligible for CNS as recognized by State Boards of Nursing.
- CNS registration with Virginia or North Carolina Board of Nursing required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required for Intermediate Care and Critical Care.
