Litigation Paralegal Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team at Kellogg Hansen, a leading trial and appellate litigation firm in Washington, D.C.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide support to our attorneys in the preparation and management of litigation cases, including cite checking, blue booking, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation paralegal work, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Cite Checking and Blue Booking: Assist attorneys in the preparation of court submissions, written discovery, and legal memoranda, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Project and Case Management: Manage assigned cases and their related tasks and projects, utilizing strong organizational and oversight skills.
- Organizational and Oversight: Assist attorneys in ensuring that all documentation associated with a case is filed appropriately, and assist with the organization of case rooms and electronic repositories.
- Trial Preparation and Trials: Prepare trial exhibits and demonstratives, prepare witness files and examination materials, coordinate activities with court personnel and court reporters, and provide support during and after trial.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct factual research and analyze information to support litigation efforts.
- Discovery and Depositions: Maintain discovery files, notice depositions, draft subpoenas, and prepare deposition materials and for witnesses and experts.
- Litigation Software and Databases: Utilize databases and litigation software packages to support litigation efforts.
- Communication and Reporting: Effectively communicate with attorneys, staff, and clients, and report case status and projects to attorneys.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a law firm as a litigation paralegal.
- Ability to work overtime required.
- Ability to travel, typically for trial.
Kellogg Hansen is a trial and appellate litigation firm based in Washington, D.C.
