Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team at REI. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise into and out of our warehouse, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process vendor and internal shipments in accordance with REI policies and procedures
  • Price, organize, and evaluate customer and product quality returns
  • Train and mentor Shipping and Receiving Specialists
  • Process inventory transfers, vendor, and quality returns in an accurate and timely manner
  • Create and manage the flow of merchandise to the selling floor or stock as required
  • Perform recurring cycle counts and audits of targeted inventory as requested
  • Follow loss prevention and safety procedures
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or shipping/receiving environment (preferred)
  • 3-7 years prior shipping and receiving experience or equivalent (preferred)
  • Ability to transfer up to 35 pounds for up to two hours
  • Operate power material handling equipment as necessary
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
