Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Technician to join our team at Safe Harbor Marinas, LLC. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing boats of all kinds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain boats to ensure they are seaworthy and in good working condition.
  • Diagnose and repair boat engines, hulls, propellers, and navigational equipment using diagnostic equipment.
  • Install and test sanitation and refrigeration systems, electrical systems, steering gear, and accessories.
  • Troubleshoot and repair vessel systems and components, including electrical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing, and water systems.
  • Conduct thorough assessments prior to starting a job, including acknowledging the budgeted time and timeframe for completion, proving the system and element requiring service, and sourcing parts if required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Technical school training preferred.
  • 5 years' experience preferred.
  • ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred.
  • Ability to ascend and descend a ladder.
  • Must carry own tools.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Basic boat handling skills preferred.
  • Experience with both gas and diesel engines preferred.
