Position Overview:

The Satellite Launch Operations Manager will oversee the coordination and execution of Lynk satellites for designated launch missions. This role entails managing the integration of satellites into deployment systems and collaborating with launch vehicle providers to ensure successful integration and mission execution. You will also be tasked with overseeing testing processes to confirm that the integrated satellite stack complies with all mechanical, electrical, digital, and safety standards as mandated by the launch provider.

At Lynk, we prioritize rapid development of mission-critical hardware and software. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing, developing, and testing aerospace hardware under tight deadlines. We seek innovative engineers who thrive on challenges and have a proven history of devising creative solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Executive Management to define the configuration for each launch initiative.
  • Engage with launch vehicle providers to explore potential launch opportunities.
  • Coordinate any unique design and fabrication tasks necessary for the launch campaign.
  • Supervise the integration of Lynk satellites with the appropriate deployment systems to establish a launch-ready configuration.
  • Lead integration and operational activities for specific launch missions.
  • Oversee integrated stack testing activities, including environmental assessments, and produce verification documentation to meet launch provider requirements.
  • Organize and facilitate launch campaign activities for individual missions and represent Lynk during launch integration reviews.
  • Manage all scheduling and technical obligations related to the launch.
  • Coordinate all launch-related matters both internally and externally.
  • Ensure compliance with Export regulations pertaining to all launch-related Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs) and Technology Transfer Control Plans (TTCPs).
  • Travel as necessary to support launch operations.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the integration and launch of satellites or space payloads.
  • Proficiency in space systems engineering, particularly in spacecraft to launch vehicle integration.
  • Extensive experience leading payload integration on operational launch vehicles is advantageous.
