Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee a major water and wastewater treatment plant project in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is an exciting opportunity for a professional to join a leading contractor where your extensive experience in managing intricate projects while ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational standards will be key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Oversee all project aspects, including construction, budget, and cash management, ensuring compliance with contracts and client requirements.
  • Schedule and Cost Management: Develop and manage project schedules, cost estimates, procedures, and resource allocation to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Project Organization: Create and manage the project organizational structure and staffing plans for each phase to meet deadlines.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise during project proposals, participate in bid interviews, and handle contract assessments and client negotiations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with all project stakeholders, including partners, landowners, and regulatory bodies, and coordinate with the construction management team to identify risks and negotiate change orders.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Present monthly project reports to executive leadership and ensure compliance with safety programs and procedures.
  • Project Closeout: Lead project closeout activities, including finalizing contracts, resolving claims, and obtaining retainages, while maintaining alignment with the company's values and strategic goals.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
  • Experience: 15 years' experience in construction project management.
  • Leadership: 10+ years of experience in managing teams and personnel.
  • Industry Expertise: Over 10 years' experience with water and wastewater treatment plant construction preferred.
  • Project Delivery: Demonstrated expertise in various project delivery methods including bid-build, CMGC, and design-build.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership attributes and the ability to manage multiple departments, while effectively mentoring a team and delegating tasks.
  • Risk Management: Proven expertise in identifying and managing project risks, financial acumen, negotiating agreements, budgets, and fund recovery, and promoting both personal and company.
