Job Overview

Our properties range from luxurious high-rises to affordable housing options, catering to a variety of clients including building owners, governmental bodies, and non-profit organizations.

We are currently seeking a qualified Regulatory Compliance Officer to enhance our team. This role is crucial for managing compliance across two of our multi-family/senior residential properties. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of program certifications, ensuring adherence to various housing assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and process applications for rental assistance and affordable housing programs, ensuring eligibility is accurately determined.
  • Conduct thorough verification of income, assets, and other relevant financial information, utilizing our management software for precise calculations.
  • Prepare and manage documentation required for agreements between tenants and property management.
  • Maintain consistent communication with program participants, ensuring they meet their responsibilities regarding documentation.
  • Conduct annual reexaminations and assist participants with necessary paperwork for housing assistance.
  • Adhere to established procedures for multifamily management services, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Maintain organized records and logs to ensure all tenant information is current and accurate.
  • Investigate any allegations of program abuse and take appropriate action as necessary.
  • Keep management informed about program requirements and assist with inspections and contract management.
  • Compile monthly reports and participate in meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of three years of experience in low-income or housing-related programs.
  • Preferred certifications include COS, TCS, MORS, BOS, CMH, or AHM.
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Strong understanding of rental assistance and affordable housing programs.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation related to federal housing regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with community resources available to low-income and elderly individuals.
  • Capacity to learn and apply HUD and LIHTC program regulations.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in a second language is advantageous.
