Duquesne Light Company, a leading provider of electric energy, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead its CIP Regulatory Compliance program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's compliance with NERC CIP Standards, ensuring the implementation and monitoring of compliance initiatives, and providing leadership and management to the CIP Compliance team.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee the company's CIP compliance program, including providing oversight of compliance with applicable NERC CIP Standards, completing self-certifications of compliance, and responding to requests for data submittals.
- Lead and coordinate compliance audits by FERC, NERC, PJM, and ReliabilityFirst, including internal and external coordination, review and preparation of Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets, and evidence.
- Maintain awareness of emerging utility industry issues through benchmarking and participation in relevant forums and groups, reviewing all relevant communications from FERC, NERC, RF, and PJM, and distributing to appropriate Subject Matter Experts within the company.
- Monitor the development of new and revised NERC CIP Standards, notify appropriate individuals within the company, and work with business units to ensure new standards are implemented before the effective date.
- Oversee company policies and procedures related to the CIP compliance program, review and update CIP compliance policies on an annual basis, and perform various required annual reviews.
- Provide necessary assistance and training on CIP regulatory compliance to company business units and Subject Matter Experts.
- Investigate, document, and manage potential violations of compliance related to NERC's CIP Standards, ensure effective mitigation plans are put in place and completed on schedule, and work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer, Director, NERC Compliance, and business units to fully investigate and mitigate any discovered compliance issues.
- Lead the development and implementation of internal controls for the company's CIP compliance program in accordance with NERC's risk-based Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program.
- Configure, implement, and manage a compliance management system to effectively track and document the company's Internal Compliance Monitoring Program.
- Oversee and coordinate the company's responsibilities related to NERC Alert notifications concerning CIP and cyber security.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- At least ten years of experience working with a regulated entity or regulatory organization, with a preference for the electricity sector.
- At least three years of experience managing personnel with responsibility for providing direction, development, and conducting performance assessments, with five years or more preferred.
- Advanced education such as a master's degree, Juris Doctorate, PhD, or certification is preferred.
