Job Summary

As a key member of the Alameda Alliance for Health team, the Strategic Vendor Account Manager will oversee the development and implementation of the Vendor Strategic Account Management program. This program aims to foster healthy and strategic vendor relationships, ensuring the organization's purchasing and contract management processes are optimized for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a team of vendor management Strategic Account Representatives, providing guidance and oversight to ensure successful vendor relationships.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 vendors, requiring coordination with internal departments and external vendors.
Negotiate and draft commercial provisions within template guidelines, manage contract lifecycle and procurement workflows, and identify cost savings and RFP opportunities.
Conduct regular status meetings, joint operating meetings, on-site audits, and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance and optimal vendor performance.
Participate in internal and external committees and meetings, and lead special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) required, with familiarity with managed care and publicly funded health programs preferred.
2-5 years of experience in purchasing, project management, legal, or compliance roles, with strong management and leadership skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently and as a team member, and establish effective working relationships within the office and with clients, vendors, and others outside the company.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in correct usage of the English language, including grammar and punctuation.

Salary Range
