Position Summary:
The IT Service Desk Associate will engage with users to resolve issues related to computing hardware and associated electronic devices and systems. The ideal candidate will also support the security obligations for both internal and external organizational information systems. This role requires on-site presence, as ACE operates on an alternative work schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend work necessary to fulfill project requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, test, update, and repair computing and office equipment.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and diagnostic evaluations on computer systems.
- Maintain computer systems, servers, and ensure software backups.
- Assist computer operators with technical challenges as required.
- Identify common issues such as loose connections or faulty components.
- Review manufacturer specifications to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
- Engage in digital marketing initiatives.
- Participate in website development projects.
- Support security system operations.
- Contribute to KPI development efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
- Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with various applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Capability to motivate teams to complete projects efficiently.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic computer skills are essential.
- Certification from the International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET) or the Electronics Technicians Association (ETA) is preferred but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel to offsite assignments as needed.
- Capability to distinguish wire and cable colors and recognize various audible tones.
