Job Summary

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Front Porch Communities and Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing/Director of Health Services, you will supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Nurses Aides to deliver exceptional patient care and meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, colleagues, and vendors, ensuring satisfaction and building strong relationships.

• Arrive on time, dressed in a clean uniform, with good personal hygiene and a visible name tag, setting a positive example for others.

• Conduct resident assessments and plan of care evaluations, coordinating necessary treatments, medications, or nursing interventions as indicated by the patient plan of care or physician orders.

• Ensure emergency measures are followed according to facility policy and nursing standards, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

• Manage medical supplies and medications, ensuring adequate inventory to meet patient needs.

• Protect resident rights, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to federal and state regulations, as well as company policies.

• Maintain accurate documentation, adhering to federal and state regulations, and company policies.

• Perform duties safely and efficiently, using equipment correctly and following department safety protocols, reporting any safety hazards or accidents to the supervisor.

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, adhering to federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines in food preparation and handling.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current LVN licensure on file, with experience in long-term care, community health, geriatric, and/or rehabilitative nursing desirable.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, with basic mathematical skills required.

• Ability to understand, follow, support, and initiate policies and procedures of the facility, recognizing emergency situations and responding appropriately.
