Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

At Arbol Residences Santa Rosa Senior Living, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents, delegate and supervise the care provided by our Quality of Life Specialists/Resident Assistants, and participate in the admission of new residents. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing wound care.
  • Delegate and supervise the care provided by our Quality of Life Specialists/Resident Assistants, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care.
  • Participate in the admission of new residents, including conducting assessments and developing care plans.
  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), family/social activities, and promote independent living.
  • Respond to resident call systems promptly and courteously.
  • Identify resident medical and behavioral changes and develop and monitor care plans.
  • Provide daily reports to the Director of Health Services, including community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and needs for nursing supplies.
  • Ensure preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services to residents and coordinate nursing care with other disciplines.
  • Make rounds with physicians, assist in examinations and/or treatment of residents, and carry out orders.
  • Assess resident condition and notify attending physician and responsible party in the event of a change in the resident's condition.
  • Accurately administer prescribed medications, supervise the continuity of nursing care, and respond to changes in medical condition, medications, or other circumstances requiring special care needs.
  • Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned staff and other designated personnel in meeting the resident's needs.
  • Orient residents and staff to emergency procedures and respond to all emergency situations.
  • Complete and sign incident reports and provide follow-up as required.
  • Assure that all resident records are accurate, complete, and all mandatory forms are on file.
  • Monitor resident environment to ensure all safety and sanitary regulations and quality standards are met or exceeded.
Requirements:
  • Current nursing license valid in state worked
  • Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community
