Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to be part of our Tax Excellence team, contributing to the global Tax function through system management, data oversight, and the development and maintenance of tailored solutions. The Senior Tax Analyst - Tax Technology will collaborate closely with various tax teams to enhance their operational effectiveness.

  • Design, support, and maintain applications and solutions owned by the Tax department, including regression and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Document business cases, processes, system designs, and training materials for end users.
  • Assist in assessing project scope, risks, challenges, and progress, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Ensure timely delivery according to project scope and stakeholder expectations.
  • Respond promptly to support inquiries related to Tax systems and solutions.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively across different levels, departments, and with external vendors/consultants.
  • Manage documentation for Tax Technology processes and procedures.
  • Support the realization of the Tax Excellence vision, roadmap, strategy, and operational model.
  • Engage in special projects and process enhancement initiatives while supporting enterprise-wide efforts and advocating for Tax.
  • Provide guidance to Tax teams on data, systems, and processes, including conducting training sessions as needed.
  • Act as a change advocate, promoting optimal adoption among end users.
  • Evaluate market offerings and technology trends, networking with peers and vendors to inspire innovation.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 6 to 10 years of experience in system administration and custom development, demonstrating a commitment to innovation and efficiency through the standardization of business processes in organizations of similar scale and geographic reach. Flexibility to accommodate various time zones is essential.
  • A background in tax is not a prerequisite. Candidates with relevant skills from other fields will also be considered.

Key Skills:

  • Ability to utilize system configuration knowledge of SAP, BW, and OneStream for efficient data extraction to support Tax processes.
  • Experience in analyzing substantial data volumes and transforming them for Tax applications.
  • Willingness to ask questions and suggest best practices concerning Tax data, systems, and process requirements.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, self-motivation, and receptiveness to direction.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Expertise in Alteryx, Power Query, or similar ETL tools.
  • Familiarity with comprehensive financial data processes is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of OneSource suite (OTP, OIT, OIC), BNA Fixed Assets, and Vertex is a plus.
