Position Summary:
We are in search of a skilled and committed Registered Nurse (RN) to become a vital part of our Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU). In this role, you will engage in a stimulating and rewarding environment, delivering care to a diverse array of patients with neurological disorders. This telemetry-monitored unit comprises 38 beds and offers a unique combination of complexity and variety, making it an excellent choice for nurses who excel in fast-paced, collaborative settings.

The unit includes a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and is affiliated with an award-winning Comprehensive Stroke Center accredited by the Joint Commission. As a member of this team, you will care for patients facing intricate neurological issues, including:
- Hemicraniectomy
- Aneurysm Clips and Coils
- Glioblastomas
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
- Hemorrhagic and Ischemic Stroke
- Neurosurgery
- Seizures
- Brain Mass
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, empathetic nursing care to patients in the Neuro PCU, following established standards and protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate patients using telemetry, responding swiftly to any changes in their condition.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and execute personalized care plans.
- Actively participate in the unit's team nursing model, fostering a strong culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active and valid nursing license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Previous experience in a neuro or telemetry unit is preferred but not mandatory.
