Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Sales Associate to join our team at Hannaford Supermarkets. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality, variety, and safety in our fresh produce offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and visually appealing produce department, adhering to company standards and guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a consistent and high-quality produce selection.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products, promotions, and sales strategies to effectively communicate with customers and drive sales.
  • Collaborate with other department teams to achieve sales goals and support company initiatives.
Requirements
  • Effective communication, customer service, and sales skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a retail or grocery environment.
  • Knowledge of produce handling and safety procedures.
  • Ability to learn and operate a cash register and other point-of-sale systems.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
