Job Summary

YOUTH PROGRESS ASSOCIATION is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certification and Engagement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining our network of therapeutic foster homes. Your primary responsibilities will include interviewing and supporting prospective foster parents through the certification process, as well as developing and implementing retention strategies to ensure the success of our foster parents and the youth in their care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough home studies and certification processes for new foster parents, ensuring compliance with all state guidelines.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to support foster parents in their role, including regular check-ins, home visits, and community-building events.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to ensure strong communication and support for foster parents and the youth in their care.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to foster parents on how to support the unique needs of each youth in their care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with foster parents, program staff, and community partners to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Impeccable integrity, positive attitude, and self-directed with a demonstrated passion for YOUTH PROGRESS ASSOCIATION's mission.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience working with foster parents, youth in care, or in a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Work Environment

This is a full-time, hourly position with a typical schedule of 9-5, Monday-Friday. Some evenings and weekends may be required. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion.
