Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Review Specialist to join our team at Morris Bank. As a Loan Review Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing all loans for completion of loan documentation and adherence to internal policies and approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough reviews of consumer and commercial loans to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Identify discrepancies and issues, and facilitate resolution and corrective action.
  • Collaborate with loan operations team members to resolve errors and improve loan closing and loan operations.
  • Use exceptions tracking system and software applications to track, monitor, and update status of loan documents.
  • Validate adherence to the Loan Policy and required approvals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of consumer and commercial loan-related experience.
  • General knowledge of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, good judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Presents a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental, and external representatives.
  • Have a high degree of interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with customers and employees.
  • Ability to exercise personal and professional responsibility and work with limited direction.
  • Must be able to use tact and diplomacy and communicate effectively via telephone, letters, personal contact, etc.
  • Computer Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer.
  • Must be a team player.
  • General knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Requires incumbent to remain sedentary within office.
  • Requires some travel for training/seminars.
