We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lab Specialist to join our team at OhioHealth. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reproducibility of patient laboratory reports.
Key Responsibilities- Review and monitor internal and external information to ensure the accuracy of laboratory reports
- Institute and maintain quality assurance measures as required by licensing or accrediting agencies
- Perform instrument maintenance, training of personnel, inventory control, quality control, and troubleshooting
- Communicate effectively with clinicians, clients, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless operations
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field
- One year internship in an accredited hospital followed by completion of the Board of Registry examination
- Advanced level of physiological chemistry, quantitative analysis, higher mathematics, statistical analysis, and computer training
- Two years of extensive experience in an automated clinical laboratory
