Sales Growth Specialist

The Business Development Executive will play a pivotal role in propelling growth and broadening Staples' customer base through effective client acquisition strategies. This position entails proactively identifying potential customers, nurturing relationships, and implementing a robust strategy to significantly enhance Staples' Breakroom business by converting prospects into signed agreements.
Utilizing your sales acumen, industry insights, and interpersonal abilities, you will forge partnerships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. Business Development Executives are also tasked with onboarding newly acquired customers to maximize their engagement and spending. This role requires a strategic approach to selling, with daily interactions occurring both in-person and virtually through various communication channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and acquire a substantial number of new Breakroom customers within the designated territory.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Staples' Breakroom agreements.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, ensuring timely updates in the CRM for effective deal closure.
- Proactively qualify and engage with prospective clients.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor actions, and market insights.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Management Team to make informed pricing decisions based on competitive analysis and client needs.
- Work alongside Sales Operations to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers.
- Engage with internal resources, including support teams and category experts, to address customer requirements and facilitate seamless integration.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated drive and a strong desire to succeed.
- A proactive approach to overcoming challenges and viewing setbacks as opportunities for growth.
- Proven ability to deliver compelling presentations both virtually and in person.
- Expertise in consultative selling, solution-oriented sales, negotiation, and advanced client management.
- Strong business acumen with a focus on financial, operational, and technological insights.
- Capability to analyze market trends and tailor solutions that align with Staples' value proposition.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of successful experience in prospecting.
- This role is remote and requires coverage of the designated territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Breakroom sales.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proven track record in business development.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- In-depth industry knowledge.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
