Role Responsibilities
  • Be part of a dynamic group of healthcare providers at the forefront of integrating technology into primary care.
  • Provide exceptional, safe patient care through a cooperative team framework rather than a traditional individual patient panel approach.
  • Exhibit strong clinical competencies in managing a patient demographic primarily aged 55 and older with various chronic health issues.
  • Patient care environments will encompass clinic visits, virtual consultations, group sessions, home care, and hybrid arrangements.
  • Encourage a culture of innovative growth, promote open dialogue regarding ethical and clinical matters, and demonstrate a readiness to both give and receive immediate feedback.
  • Utilize Epic EMR for patient management.

Position Summary: The Physician Assistant is tasked with delivering high-quality patient care to OSF patients. This role includes ensuring the consistency and quality of services rendered to the practice and its patients, maintaining up-to-date patient medical records, and facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration with digital mission partners, specialists, and other care entities to enhance the patient experience and close care gaps for improved outcomes. The Physician Assistant is dedicated to providing a personalized, patient-focused experience that aligns with each patient's preferences, goals, and needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
Experience: Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care.
Licensure/Certification: Physician Assistant License, Federal Controlled Substance License, BLS/ACLS Certification.
Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, solid computer proficiency including Microsoft software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Experience: Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records; 1-2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant.
