Radiologic Special Procedures Technician I

Position Overview

This is a PRN role

Compensation for this position is $43.02/hour, with actual pay determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.

Position Summary:

The Special Procedures Technician I supports physicians during arteriograms and other specialized radiological interventions, adhering to sterile techniques for patient diagnosis and treatment.

In this capacity, the technician prepares the examination environment, positions patients appropriately for procedures, and operates sophisticated radiology equipment according to established protocols.

Assistance to physicians includes passing necessary materials, taking images as instructed, and more.

The technician must demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to deliver patient care that is suitable for the various age groups of patients served.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Education:
  • Associate's Degree

Licenses/Certifications:
  • IEMA licensure in Radiology and ARRT registration

  • BLS Certification
  • American Heart Association Certification

Experience:
  • Completion of a two-year training program at an accredited school of radiologic technology

Other Skills/Knowledge:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in patient care
