Position Overview:


The Senior Project Management Leader leverages extensive industry expertise and prior experience to oversee and direct the design of intricate transit-related development initiatives.

This role involves managing both external and internal communications and coordination.

Engagement with clients and contractors is essential, as is collaboration with the design team, including remote contributors and technical specialists in specific areas of design and engineering.

Effective supervision of project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication is crucial for successful job performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the creation of comprehensive documentation, including plans and calculations for the designated project scope.
Guide and mentor designers, engineers, and team members tasked with various project components.
Assess and determine equipment, staffing, and training requirements as necessary.
Provide insights and recommendations regarding project and program budgets and timelines.

Ensure adherence to the project quality plan and established processes to guarantee technical accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications while following engineering best practices.

Validate the methodologies employed by designers and engineers.
Coordinate efforts with other managers and staff.

Participate in client meetings as needed and confidently present before groups to validate and discuss design proposals and rejections.

Facilitate and coordinate meetings with all stakeholders to ensure timely progress in design and construction, considering public safety, constructability, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion.

Offer constructive feedback and input to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering or a related field.
P. Eng status or eligibility to transfer credentials.
15+ years of proven experience as a Construction Engineering Manager on large-scale public infrastructure projects.
Ability to lead a diverse, multi-functional team throughout the project lifecycle.
Proficiency in CAD, design software, and construction management tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Aconex, Primavera P6, etc.).
Strong computer skills (MS Office).
