Overview of the Role:

As a key member of our Project & Development Services (PDS) division, you will play an essential role in overseeing and executing Minor and Capital works projects throughout Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of multiple projects, typically ranging from 5 to 8, at various stages of development.
  • Take charge of the effective oversight of all phases of smaller or less complex projects, from initiation through to handover and project closure.
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly project deliverables, including delivery plans, status updates, financial reports, and meeting agendas.
  • Establish and manage project budgets and timelines to ensure successful outcomes aligned with client expectations.
  • Lead weekly project meetings and prepare reports for the Project Control Group (PCG) and Requests for Proposal (RFP).
  • Engage in value engineering and buildability assessments, critically reviewing designs and documentation to optimize project results.
  • Administer contracts with all vendors professionally and effectively.
  • Act in the best interests of the client throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate additional JLL services into projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to enhance JLL's visibility and reputation.
  • Create a collaborative environment that encourages team contributions and motivation.
  • Maintain positive interactions with all stakeholders, leading by example.
  • Consult with senior staff to explore solutions to challenges that may arise.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Confidence in managing project delivery from inception to completion.
  • Experience with cost reporting systems.
  • A solid understanding of the legal framework surrounding project planning, commercial considerations, and delivery constraints.
  • Proficiency in conducting commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • A willingness to assist in the preparation of project proposals and deliver presentations to secure new business opportunities.
  • A comprehensive understanding of various project delivery methods.
  • A degree in a relevant field such as Project or Construction Management, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling over 8 years, including at least 3 years in design, construction, or project management.
