This is an opportune moment to become part of TAG's team during a phase of significant growth. TAG is seeking a seasoned Installation Technician/Foreman to enhance our expanding team at TAG-Refrigeration (TAG-R) in Arizona.

Key Responsibilities

The Foreman will be responsible for:

  • Comprehending the project scope thoroughly to effectively plan, manage, and execute related tasks.
  • Identifying necessary adjustments to the project scope.
  • Leading and directing personnel, equipment, and resources in the execution of the project.
  • Ensuring optimal deployment and productivity of work crews.
  • Maintaining open communication with the Superintendent and Project Managers, reporting any issues that may impact the project timeline.
  • Collaborating as a team member and leader to fulfill project objectives.
  • Utilizing project-required equipment and tools appropriately.
  • Coordinating daily activities of crew members and subcontractors, implementing corrective actions to adhere to project schedules and budgets.
  • Implementing best practices for the efficient use of materials, manpower, and equipment.
  • Planning work efficiently to maximize progress safely and timely.
  • Reviewing and adhering to construction schedules to meet milestones and completion dates.
  • Ensuring company equipment is operated, maintained, and utilized effectively.
  • Reading and interpreting project plans and specifications.
  • Operating equipment as necessary.
  • Assisting project leadership in obtaining required municipal, state, or federal approvals, including final inspections and Certificates of Occupancy.
Employee Management

The Foreman will also:

  • Monitor and manage employee attendance, ensuring timely participation of all crew members.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities, instructing and supervising the crew.
  • Facilitate communication between the company and employees on various matters.
  • Comply with relevant legislation regarding employee management.
  • Investigate employee concerns thoroughly.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on employee development, recruitment, training, and investigations.
  • Ensure fair application of disciplinary policies as needed.
  • Perform additional employee management duties as required.
Safety Protocols

The Foreman will promote and enforce the company's safety program, encouraging all employees and subcontractors to adopt a safety-first culture. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
  • Reviewing safe work plans and hazard assessments with the crew before job commencement.
  • Collaborating with the Safety Coordinator to investigate incidents and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Working responsibly to prevent injury to oneself and others.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of construction processes.

Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position require:

  • Work at construction sites, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Potential for overtime or night shifts to meet project deadlines.
  • Dexterity to operate computers and other equipment.
  • Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of up to 100 pounds.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Construction Foreman.
  • Valid Driver's License or equivalent required.
