Job Description

Vitis Energy, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead the advancement of energy projects, including solar, battery storage, and emerging technology initiatives. This role will be responsible for managing all deliverables of a specific project throughout its lifecycle, from development to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day progress of energy projects, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
  • Land Acquisition and Permitting: Manage the process of securing land control agreements, easements, and necessary permits for project sites.
  • Interconnection and Engineering: Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of interconnection schedules and engineering tasks.
  • Procurement and Construction: Review and recommend major project contracts, and monitor the progress of construction activities.
  • Financial Management: Assist with project budgets, financial reporting, and proforma development to ensure financial viability.
  • Proposal Development: Support the proposal process for responses to RFPs and other offtake opportunities.
  • Due Diligence: Evaluate and provide recommendations on potential acquisition projects, counterparties, and sites.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant working experience in project management, renewable energy, or a similar asset-based industry.
  • Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management, with a strong understanding of project finance and development.
  • Self-starter capable of operating with minimal supervision, with excellent analytical skills and systematic problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong project management and communications skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with executive-level decision makers.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills, with the capability to produce high-quality work products and deliverables independently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds.

Travel: As required, with potential for overnights approximately 25%.
