Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Instructional Support Assistant to join our team at Stony Brook University. As a key member of our Customer Service Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to patients, hospital staff, community physicians, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Information and Support: Respond to inquiries and provide accurate information to patients, hospital staff, community physicians, and other stakeholders regarding laboratory services and procedures.
  • Process and Manage Requests: Process and manage requests for laboratory services, including but not limited to, test ordering, specimen collection, and result reporting.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with laboratory staff, hospital departments, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of laboratory services.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of laboratory services, including but not limited to, test results, specimen collection, and patient information.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, hospital staff, community physicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely processing of laboratory services.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
