Event AV Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Event AV Manager to join our team at HAPPIER People MGMT. Our company is dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for our community, and we strive to provide a healthier way of living through radical hospitality and inspiring environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • AVL and Production Support: Provide hands-on support during load-in, production, and strike of live events, concerts, and nightlife activations.
  • Pre-Event Checks: Conduct thorough checks and equipment tests to ensure everything is functioning properly.
  • Technical Support: Field incoming technical support requests from operations teams and provide both remote and on-site support.
  • A/V/L Production Requests: Field incoming requests from Events, Music & Culture, and Operations teams and input into resource management system.
  • Coordination and Setup: Coordinate with internal production team and contracted vendors to understand technical requirements and ensure proper setup and operation of sound systems, lighting, video, and other AV equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Mitigate and troubleshoot technical issues that arise during events, ensuring quick and effective resolutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain the storage, inventory, and repair of AVL equipment across the properties.
  • Event Attendance: Attend all events in their domain requiring AV support and assist events and operations teams to ensure artists, staff, and guests have the best experience.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in live events, concerts, and nightlife, with a focus on technical production.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with entertainment technology, including audio mixing consoles, networking equipment, lighting consoles, DJ equipment, PA systems, and computer technology.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
  • Communication: Excellent organization and communication abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Schedule: Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate nightlife and event schedules.
  • Passion: Passion for producing memorable music and entertainment experiences.
  • Aesthetics: Keen eye for aesthetics and organization.

The base pay range for this position is $90,000 - $95,000 per year, with salary determined by prior experience, qualifications, and skills.
