Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a full-time AV Operations Specialist to join our Operations team. This role is integral to ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and support in all aspects of audiovisual technology.

Key Responsibilities:
The AV Operations Specialist will:

  • Provide comprehensive support for all technology services utilized by our clients and team members, including networking, desktop support, audio, video, high-speed internet access, and conferencing solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and the AV Management Team to enhance the overall experience during meetings and events.
  • Assist in troubleshooting AV equipment and resolving issues related to audio, video, lighting, and networking systems.
  • Coordinate pre-program requirements with property teams to ensure all technological needs are met.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by building strong relationships with team members, clients, and vendors.
  • Participate in meetings to ensure a thorough understanding of client expectations prior to events.
  • Support daily operations, including equipment setup and breakdown, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Engage in collaborative projects with technology and other departments to enhance service delivery.
  • Review and maintain departmental standard operating procedures regularly.
  • Uphold the cultural standards of Convene and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in AV and IT support.
  • Strong customer service or hospitality experience.
  • Knowledge of audiovisual equipment and basic understanding of control systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Apple iWorks applications.
  • The ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds and work on ladders.
