Job Title: Contract and Administration Unit Lead

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Contract and Administration Unit Lead to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating large payments and contract procurement activities for the Bureau of Wastewater Treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and perform professional-level administrative work in procurement and contract administration.
  • Provide administrative support to the Section Chief of Contracting and Administration and serve as a point of contact for program staff.
  • Assist in monitoring contract compliance and receive, review, and process contract verifications for compliance.
  • Coordinate and oversee assignment of payments to staff.
  • Assist in creating various procurement documents and maintain accurate records and files.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of full-time, satisfactory professional, technical or administrative experience in one or more of the following fields: program evaluation, contract negotiations/management, business or public administration, contract community relations, or related fields.
  • A four-year high school diploma, or its equivalent, and six years of full-time, professional, technical or administrative work experience in one or more of the fields cited above.
  • A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience as cited above.
