Contract and Administration Unit Lead

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Contract and Administration Unit Lead to coordinate large payments and contract procurement activities for the Bureau of Wastewater Treatment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and contract administration, with experience in managing large-scale contracts and coordinating with team members.
The Contract and Administration Unit Lead will be responsible for supervising a team of seven analysts, ensuring timely submission of reports, and coordinating with the ACCO, Law Unit, and Mayor's Office. Additionally, the Unit Lead will be responsible for submitting yearly performance evaluations and assisting with hiring actions for the unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate large payments and contract procurement activities for the Bureau of Wastewater Treatment
- Supervise a team of seven analysts and ensure timely submission of reports
- Coordinate with the ACCO, Law Unit, and Mayor's Office
- Submit yearly performance evaluations and assist with hiring actions for the unit
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of full-time, satisfactory professional, technical or administrative experience in one or more of the following fields: program evaluation, contract negotiations/management, business or public administration, contract community relations, or related fields
- At least eighteen months of administrative, managerial or executive experience or supervising professional personnel performing work in program evaluation, contract negotiation/management, business or public administration
