Job Summary

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Grant Reimbursement Analyst to join our team in the Grants Reimbursement & Compliance Unit within the Division of Grants & Fiscal Management. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing and administering the department's grants reimbursement program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing exceptional financial analytical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer the department's grants reimbursement program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Perform professional financial analytical work, examining eligibility requirements related to grant funding sources and preparing reports and cost analyses.
  • Manage and monitor grant-funded Personnel Services (PS) and Other Than Personnel Services (OTPS) related to reimbursement claims incurred in the NYCDOT's Expense Budget.
  • Liaise with project managers and other City Agencies to ensure compliance with rules and regulations associated with grant funding sources.
  • Interact with internal and external auditors, answering questions, explaining discrepancies, and preparing reports.
Requirements
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, with 24 semester credits in accounting, including one course each in advanced accounting and auditing.
  • Or, a valid New York State Certified Public Accountant license.
  • At least one year of experience as an Accountant - Assignment Level I or at least two years of satisfactory full-time professional accounting or auditing experience.
