Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Systems Technician to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As an Aviation Systems Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting malfunctions on the MH-47G SOF peculiar aircraft, focusing on avionics systems, sub-systems, communications, navigation systems, weapons, aircraft survivability equipment, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair aircraft wiring, replace aircraft components, and troubleshoot aircraft electrical systems as needed or as instructed in the IETM (Interactive Electronic Technical Manual).
  • Use a multi-meter and other standard avionic test sets to maintain and troubleshoot aircraft systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Work independently during travel and while at home station to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Perform administrative actions related to aircraft forms and records on systems used by the organization.
Requirements
  • 6+ years' experience in Army aviation.
  • Ability to travel 1-2 weeks at a time and complete TDY assignments.
  • Ability to make sound decisions when troubleshooting and maintaining avionics systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics and IETMs.
  • Maintain aircraft logbook forms and records.
  • Experience using multimeters and other applicable tools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with MH-47G, MH-60MK, or UH-60 aircraft avionics/electrical systems and components.
