Position Overview:
The selected candidate will utilize extensive technical knowledge to address moderate to complex challenges by interpreting technical documentation, schematics, and manufacturer manuals. This role involves the maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft structures and components of moderate complexity, as well as the upkeep of various aircraft systems including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. The technician will leverage their expertise in airframe and power plant systems to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Apply comprehensive technical skills to troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components.
2. Execute aircraft sheet metal and structural modifications and repairs.
3. Utilize specialized tools and equipment, including test devices, torque wrenches, and micrometers.
4. Maintain accurate records and logs of aircraft maintenance activities.
5. Collaborate with supervisors and senior technicians for technical guidance as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven experience with H-47, H-60, or H-6 platforms.
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of 6 years of rotary wing aviation experience.
- Familiarity with ACN and IETM's.
- Strong leadership capabilities, including effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet aircraft delivery timelines.
Security Clearance Requirement:
This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens to be considered.
Clearance Level: Secret
