This role involves the maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft structures and components of moderate complexity, as well as the upkeep of various aircraft systems including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical parts. The technician will leverage their knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore operational condition.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Apply technical expertise to troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components.
2. Conduct structural modifications and repairs with a solid understanding of aircraft sheet metal work.
3. Utilize specialized tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
4. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of technical publications and documentation.
5. Collaborate with supervisors and senior technicians for guidance as needed.
6. Ensure accurate entries in aircraft logs and records.
7. Prioritize tasks effectively to align with daily flight schedules.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in rotary wing aviation.
- Familiarity with H-47, H-60, or H-6 platforms.
- Strong leadership capabilities, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage workload efficiently.
Security Clearance:
This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens to be considered.
