As a Sales Associate at Columbia Distributing, you will be responsible for
\u2022 Effectively selling, rotating, and merchandising the Columbia Distributing portfolio in all assigned accounts.
\u2022 Providing route relief for Sales Representatives as scheduled.
\u2022 Interacting respectfully and maintaining dialogue with inter-company departments, suppliers, and customers.
\u2022 Establishing and maintaining a high level of industry knowledge: beer, non-alcoholic, food journals, trends, market share, etc.
\u2022 Maintaining appropriate themed programs to meet supplier and company standards.
\u2022 Submitting all required reporting, preplans, trackers, surveys, market surveys (MVPs), expense report, mileage log, etc. by the required due date.
\u2022 Managing inventory expenses in accordance with company policy.
\u2022 Understanding and assisting with MVP Standards.
\u2022 Monitoring competitive activity and communicating strategies.

\u2022 General knowledge of industry products.
\u2022 Excellent oral and written communication skills.
\u2022 Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers.
\u2022 Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Work Environment:
\u2022 Work indoors with frequent walking in customer accounts.
\u2022 Physical Demands:
\u2022 Lift/Carry and Push/Pull up to 50lbs.
\u2022 Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp.
\u2022 Use of industry tools: hand truck, six wheeler, manual pallet jack, box cutter.
\u2022 Work indoors and outdoors.
\u2022 Driving required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
\u2022 This is a full-time position, days/hours of work vary, and may include weekends.
\u2022 Travel:
\u2022 Ability to travel throughout the day to customer accounts.
Required Education and Experience:
\u2022 High School diploma or GED required.
\u2022 Valid driver's license and auto insurance required; Minimum of 21 years of age.
Preferred Education and Experience:
\u2022 Bachelor's degree.
\u2022 1 year of previous beverage industry sales experience.
Compensation:
\u2022 Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
\u2022 Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
\u2022 Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan.
\u2022 Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
