Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

At LTD Lane Transit District, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the financial management of our organization, leading the finance, procurement, accounting, and materials management departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial plans, budget, and forecasts to support the strategic goals of LTD.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, statements, and analysis to the senior management team, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the budgeting process, monitor financial performance, and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability for LTD.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure compliance with regulations, and prevent fraud.
  • Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate potential threats to the financial health of LTD.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to develop and execute financial strategies that support the long-term sustainability and growth of LTD.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and FTA Procurement regulations, policies, and procedures, and coordinate with external auditors on financial and procurement audits.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as government agencies, funding sources, and financial partners.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the finances, accounting, materials management, and procurement departments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of seven years or related work experience in finance or a related field.
  • Proven track record of effectively interacting with executive leaders and Boards.
  • Experience working with state and federal government funding.
  • Experience presenting to the public and Boards.
