Safety Professional Job Summary

Patuxent Roofing & Contracting, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Safety Manager to join our team and contribute to our commitment to safety excellence.

This role requires a seasoned professional to develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, ensuring a safe work environment, and driving our safety culture forward.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety programs, including fall protection, hazard communication, and other related items.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect projects for safety compliance and recommend corrective measures.
  • Develop and maintain Site Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Maintain safety compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations, monitor requirements, and enforce safety manual policies.
  • Deliver safety training for employees on safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and address safety issues affecting employees or posing liability to the company.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Suppliers to maintain safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety/Safety Management or a related field is preferred. Field experience may be considered as alternate experience.
  • Procore Experience Preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in developing and implementing effective safety solutions with measurable results.
  • Experience with OSHA regulations and procedures.
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Certification and willingness to acquire OSHA 500 and EM 385 certifications.

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $80,000 - $110,000 based on location and industry standards.
