Job Summary

As a Dining Services Manager at Compass Group USA, you will oversee the operations of a medium to large volume dining service, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and high-quality food service. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of food service professionals, maintaining interdepartmental relations, and integrating the dining service department with the facility plan of operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee dining services operations, ensuring seamless execution of meal services in a seated dining room setting.
  • Assist with profit and loss management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Chef and management team to create menus and provide top-quality food.
  • Assist in the responsibility for all food service-related activities, including quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and facility-related activities.
  • Assist with the rollout of new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team.
  • Prepare quarterly reports for client presentation.
  • Communicate with the culinary department to ensure food programs reflect the company's vision.
Requirements
  • 2 years of food service management experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, and/or related food service operations.
  • Waited table and catering experience is preferred.
  • Some knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and communication skills.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
