Requirements

Responsible for the oversight and development of heavy civil design projects, focusing on transportation-related structures (bridges, walls, etc.).

Supervise and mentor department and project staff and provide technical guidance.

Coordinate with other disciplines and sub-consultants, agencies, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.

Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.

Review structural engineering calculations and plans from preliminary to final design, and develop specifications, and reports.

Lead proposal development, scope of work, and fee schedule preparation.

Qualifications

8+ years of structural design experience required, primarily in surface transportation, and with a strong all-around theoretical knowledge of engineering principles.

Strong written and oral communication skills are required.

Strong commitment to client service, both internal and external, is required.

A PE is required, and an SE is highly desirable.

A BSCE is required, and a MSCE is a plus.

Flexible schedule available.

Practical structural design experience, and a demonstrated ability to work to budgets and schedules is required.
