About This Opportunity

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Job Summary

This role involves demonstrating knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting, showcasing competency and practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizing appropriate age and population-specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provide the care needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
  • Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
  • Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Document resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Hold a graduate degree from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Have a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility or have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum.
  • Be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.

Estimated Salary Range

$24.00-$36.00 per hour, with the possibility of additional compensation for overtime and shift differentials.
