Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Travel LPN. This exciting opportunity allows an LPN to work in various Good Samaritan Society locations within a 150-mile radius from home, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, healthcare professionals, and the public. They will demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and be able to perform testing to evaluate resident data reflective of their status and provide the necessary care.

Responsibilities include ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents, contributing to assessments, administering medications or treatments as ordered, and providing technical support to healthcare professionals as needed. The successful candidate will also document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse

• Possess an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges

• Complete required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
