Job Overview

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Salary Range

$24.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

The Compassionate Travel LPN will demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting. They will possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provide the care needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents
  • Contributes to the assessment of residents and administers medications or treatments as ordered
  • Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
  • Distinguishes between information significant for sound clinical judgment and information that is peripheral or extraneous when reviewing records and assessing residents

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering compassionate care and be able to work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
  • Have at least 3 months previous experience in Long Term Care, preferably 6 months
  • Be willing to work at least 24 hours per month and one weekend rotation per month
